Good evening, hosts of ASR.
Your discussion of the proposed stadium in Hamilton prompted me to think of the most successful venues in sports. I believe that stadiums close to downtown areas of cities seem to consistently draw the best. Being centrally located makes for easier access from most districts of a city, since the transportation routes have been set up in a way to serve daily commuters. On top of that, downtown stadiums tend to attract a better walk-in crowd of tourists who are visiting the city. For example, while on business trips I have attended sporting events in cities like Vancouver and Cleveland, in part since they were easy to get to, and walking distance not far from the hotels. Even though the Olympic Stadium in Montreal is on a Metro line, it is still a tough place to access.
I tip my hat to Tyler who did a better rendition of "Loving You" than Reggie (aka., David Chapelle) in the Nutty Professor movie. I had no idea that Tyler had the same range of five octaves as Minnie Riperton. Sad she died in her early thirties. She was the 70's answer to the 90's Mariah Carey in terms of vocal range.
As for LOST, will we ever see Mr. Eko?
