S02 E37: Off Track

For the record, our clever little title for this episode in no way reflects a sudden decrease in the quality of the Awkward Silences Radio Show (I'm pretty sure that's impossible - Ha! *rimshot). Rather, this week we talk about some serious issues that worry us, like transit planning problems; leaks, freedom of speech and the Internet; and ups-and-downs of city life and modern society. All this, and a special guest appearance by Ms. Sally Struthers! Enjoy!

WOW! Lot's to chew on!

Wiki leaks is no more than a tempest in a teapot. However, the feds are worried that some real high security information could get into the wrong hands through this medium, so they are trying to nip it in the bud.

Quite frustrated with Hamilton. What other city turns down provincial/federal funding for a new stadium (more than once.) They have one month to get their collective act together.

You raised some interesting points about the RFTC (Rob Ford Transit Commission). As Urban Planning experts, is there a model city in terms of public transit?

Season's Greetings,
