S03 E07: An Inferior Race (Part 1)

A Prime-Ministerial race, that is. Yes, we couldn't help but get underwhelmed by the current election campaign here on Awkward Silences, so this week we talk politics. As you can imagine, we have a lot of positive things to say about everyone running and particularly kind words for the campaign as a whole. There's something about voting that brings out mankind's more noble qualities, no? Enjoy!

Yes we can!

Tyler, apparently there's a Rhino candidate running in your riding...one of these days, a Rhino will get elected. And then will promptly resign and trigger a by-election. It'll be hilarious!

WOW!

For this episode I waited until election night to listen to your projections on D-Day. What shocking results: the simultaneous collapse of both the BQ and Liberals. Who would have guessed that?

As for government strategic plans, I suspect only crown corporations like Hydro Quebec think really long term, since their projects take decades to construct. The rest of governments seem only concerned with immediate concerns that have political implications.

Meech Lake was torpedoed by Elijah Harper of Manitoba and Clyde Wells of Newfoundland.

For Power Trios how about Crosby, Stills and Nash. Songs about people there is Michelle by Paul McCarney. Songs about music there is Piano Man by Billy Joel. Good themes!!

Great episode. Thanks,

Brutus
