I have the answer. Tyler should buy Alissa a balaclava for Christmas. That way she can be warm, yet trés chic!!
As for Hamilton, the city could do what Brampton has done for winter entertainment. While Brampton does not get enough prolonged cold weather to have an outdoor hockey rink, it does has a refrigerated trail in a downtown park for public skating outside. Yes, it is also called Gage Park. Beautiful spot, and it keeps operating until mid-March.
Over the years I have gotten used to the cold of winter. Even the snow does not get me down. The most depressing part is the overwhelming amount of darkness. People seem to hibernate from 4 p.m. until 7 a.m. That is what is so amazing about the Nuit Blanche event, it makes you enjoy winter, and appreciate a full day of activities.
Your thoughts on the themes of modern day movies were spot-on.
