Loved each and every one of them.

By the way, thanks for using me as the poster boy for the show - my grade 9 photograph!!!

This episode had it all: literature reviews, movie reviews, TV reviews, and the Olympics. (2008: Argentina 1 Nigeria 0.)

Bravo Roz and Frazier! We're listening.
BrutusBrutushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07171414294906929314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-440587638565682021.post-83548425826993205972010-02-27T15:00:48.882-05:002010-02-27T15:00:48.882-05:00A Colour theme sounds interesting!

If it says "Margaret Atwood".....Hey PJs.

If it says "Margaret Atwood"... I am there.

How was the Viennese ball? ...Oh well, I guess you're about to tell me about it. Via Awkward Silences.
Dance Reenactment? THAT IS MY KIND OF THING!!!!

I am enjoying the music in this episode so far.

AHHHH, I loaned TW that book. So very exciting. Love it. Love that TW loved it. Love Margaret Atwood.
Love The Edible Woman. = Glorious. Teaching Handmaid right now. Cat's Eye: Didn't like it as much. I have read about 85% of her books. ...you find her writing informal? I find it to be extremely structured and non-sentimental. (I guess that doesn't mean "formal", though.)
...That's because Dickens was paid by the word. So no wonder he described everything up the wazoo.
Right now I am reading these books: Freakonomics, Afternoons with Emily, Wolf Hall, The Book Thief and The Catcher in the Rye, twice a day, to my grade nines. (It can get boring.)Also Handmaid, I guess. Sort of. But we only just started.
The Sixth Sense and The Usual Suspects were NOT boring movies. So I disagree with "them", too!
My students saying that a movie is the "best ever" is usually a very good signal to STAY FAR AWAY. But The Hangover was actually funny. I will have to tell the kids that I was wrong about them. (But probably not too wrong.)
Colours would be a good theme.

Here are some ideas:
Colorblind by the Counting Crows
Deep Red Bells by Neko Case (=beautiful and v. cool)
The Scarlet Tide by Alison Krauss
Golden Years by David Bowie
Cherry Coloured Funk by the Cocteau Twins
Red Rubber Ball by The Cyrkle
Another Kind of Green by the John Mayer Trio
Start Wearing Purple by Gogol Bordello

Thanks for another great show!

Goodnight.MissWitczakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11642971541663953059noreply@blogger.com
