S03 E09: The Name Game

This week we explore the vast repertoire of songs named after people. And vast is no exaggeration; we could have easily just played the many songs (and covers thereof) entitled, "Gloria". So we hope you like the idea, because in all likelihood we'll be revisiting this trove of tunes again in the future. Enjoy!

Don't get the wrong idea. Slim Shady will not make an appearance.

A tip of the hat to Alissa for the great selection of NAMED hits. I was very pleased that Clapton's Layla was included in the mix. It would be easy to have one or two more episodes with that same theme. Brian had not even broken out into a sweat!

I was very interested in the Auchmar Estate, and looked it up on the internet. It is certainly a beautiful piece of architecture. What I could not determine from ASR or the website is whether or not the building is being threatened by possible demolition. Is it in a state of disrepair? Is it protected?

Thanks!

À bientôt,

Brutus

And to Mike: How dare you?

I was riding high until your sarcasm had to mar this site. Go to hell.
