We're back to the music marathon this week with more American classics, moving on to a time I like to call "within living memory". For better or worse, that period involves synthesizers. Enjoy!

Aerosmith - Janies Got a Gun
Lyndard Skynard - Simple Man
Boston - More Than a Feeling

Blondie - Call Me
Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime

The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated
Iggy and the Stooges - Passenger
Pixies - Gigantic

Michael Jackson - Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)
Prince - Purple Rain

B-52s - Love Shack
Cindy Lauper - Time after Time

Madonna - Like a Prayer

Prince playing basketball, as recalled by Charlie Murphy (on Chappelle's Show)
Prince being kooky, as related by Kevin Smith

Great selection of tunes, although Prince should have stuck with HOOPS.

If you two are still thinking of a Cover episode down the road, here are a couple of more possibilities to add to the list. Please do not dismiss them before hearing them -
Petra Haden singing A'cappella the Journey song "Don't stop believin'" (She even does the guitar solo.)

An interesting one is Joni Mitchell doing a remake of her own song "Both Sides Now", almost 30 years after the original.

And for something completely different: Johnny Cash singing One by U2.

Keep 'em comin'.
